The Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods Wins First Place in the Best Voluntary Initiatives Competition

Praise be to Allah, the Voluntary "Mubadarh [Initiative]" project at the Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods at Umm Al-Qura University has won first place in the Best Voluntary Initiatives Competition, launched by the Deanship of Student Affairs for Umm Al-Qura University students. The project aims to spread and strengthen the culture of volunteering among postgraduate students; invest their energy, experience, and specialties in voluntary service to all sectors of society; and contribute to the development of the country. The project was launched in the second semester of the academic year 1439/1438 A.H.

Since its launch 12 months ago, the project has achieved the following:

  • (70) voluntary initiatives
  • (500) voluntary work hours
  • (2000) individual beneficiaries
  • (30) beneficiaries among organizations
  • (70000) Riyals as an economic return from volunteering

The project aims to reach 150 initiatives by the end of this year - Allah Willing.

This win was praised by His Excellency the Dean of the College of Education, His Excellency the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, and the Vice Deans of the College and those interested in voluntary acts. The students of the department celebrated their volunteering achievements, and expressed appreciation for this honoring on the part of the Deanship of Student Affairs, the Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods, including its head and members, and the project team for their interest, motivation, and support. They are determined to move forward to achieve the maximum number of the project objectives through voluntary initiatives and be active partners of the country in terms of creativity and service.
