The University Medical Center, represented by the Infection Control Unit and supervised by the Public Health Unit of the University Medical Center, organized an awareness event on the importance of washing one's hands. This event took place on Tuesday, 11 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1440 A.H., and provided different awareness corners for the health cadres and patients. The event introduced the following topics:
- The right way to wash your hands.
- Five appropriate moments for washing your hands.
- The importance of washing hands to reduce the spread of infection.
- The difference between washing hands with soap and water, and rubbing hands with a sterilizer.
- An explanatory video explaining the proper way to wash your hands.
- Distribution of some gifts, sterilizers and sterile napkins to patients.
