The Deanship of Scientific Research, represented by the Vice-Deanship for Research Volunteering and Voluntary Research, offered a 15 hour voluntary training program on the skills of scientific research. The program targeted about 140 female teachers from different educational stages of the General Directorate of Education in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
The program aimed at recognizing the goals, importance, components and stages of scientific research, as well as becoming familiarized with the mechanism of writing, criticizing and publishing research. This program covered certain main points that were presented in logical order during the days of the program, which was held on Monday 25 to Wednesday 27 Rabi' Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H.
The Vice-Dean of Scientific Research for Research Volunteering and Voluntary Research, Dr. Sumaiah Sharaf, who carried out the program, added that such volunteering programs promote the role of the Deanship in spreading the culture of distinguished scientific research which is based on clear and sound scientific methodology through strategic partnerships with public, private and charitable bodies. On her part, she thanked the Assistant General Manager for Educational Affairs, Ms. Aminah Al-Ghamidi, and the Educational Supervision Manager, Ms. Lamia Al-Bashawri, for the initiative as well as the good organization and reception.
The Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Ahdal, praised the support of his Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, toward the activities and projects the Deanship constantly holds. He also thanked the Vice-President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Thamir Al-Harbi, for his efforts and continuous encouragement for such research activities that serve the country and the community.
