Activities of a Training Course Entitled 'Skills of Scientific Linguistic Research'

Under the auspices of the Dean of the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers, His Eminence Dr. Hasan Bukhari; and His Excellency the Vice-Dean of Scientific Research and Courses, Dr. Ahmad Al-Darubi, the activities of a training course entitled 'Skills of Scientific Linguistics Research' were offered to the professors of Tanzanian universities. These activities were held from 2 to 6 December, 2018 A.C., and included the following scientific program:

  1. 'Literary Research Methodologies,' delivered by the Associate Professor at the Department of Classical Rhetoric and Literary Criticism at the Institute of Arabic Language, Dr. Ali Al-Harithi.
  2. 'Arabic Grammar Research Sources,' delivered by the Associate Arabic Grammar Professor at the Institute of Arabic Language, Dr. Muhammad Al-Qurashi.
  3. 'Language Research Sources,' delivered by the Associate Arabic Linguistics Professor, Dr. Muhammad Al-Thabiti.
  4. 'Linguistic Research Methodologies,' delivered by the Arabic Linguistics Professor at the Institute of Arabic Language, Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Talhi.
  5. 'Arabic Language in Modern Linguistic Studies,' delivered by the Professor of Modern Linguistic Studies at the Institute of Arabic Language, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Arif.
  6. 'Linguistic Applications,' delivered by the Assistant Professor of Arabic Linguistics at the Institute of Arabic Language, Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Talhi.
  7. ‘Scientific Research Skills’, delivered by His Excellency the Head of the Arabic Language Teaching Department, Dr. Arif Al-Asimi.
  8. ‘Literature Research Skills’, delivered by His Excellency Dr. Hasan Mahjub.

The activities included a cultural program, represented in the following:

  1. A visit to the Holy Haram in Makkah.
  2. A seminar, which included discussions with a number of the Institute’s professors, on teaching the Arabic language in Tanzania.
  3. A visit to the Sacred Sites.
  4. A seminar, which included discussions with a number of Institute’s professors, on the Muslims’ intellectual and cultural reality in Tanzania.
  5. A visit to Al-Haramain (the Two Holy Mosques) Museum.
  6. A meeting with the Imam of the Holy Haram in Makkah, Dr. Faisal Ghazawi.
  7. A lecture delivered by the Dean of the Institute, Dr. Hasan Bukhari.
