The Vice-Deanship of the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies for Training and Community Service ran a training course entitled '4×4' on Monday Rabi' Al-Awwal 11, 1440 A.H. The course was delivered by the Vice-Dean of the College for Training and Community Service, His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Attiyah Al-Sulami and attended by the Vice-Dean of the College for Training and Community Service, Her Excellency Dr. Maha Al-Utaibi. The course targeted female students of Umm Al-Qura University.

His Excellency began the course by asking: What is the way? Who am I? What do I want? Some may have a long way to reach their goals. The surrounding environment may have an effect on their life. They may be responsible for their families. Not every direct path is the best path for everyone.

He outlined the components of the course as follows:

First component: Self-discipline, which means to be disciplined with your morals, determination, courage, and punctuality. Religious discipline is the basis for worldly discipline; for example, fulfilling the five daily prayers.

Second component: Moral discipline, which includes wishing for others what you wish for yourself.

Third component: Personal discipline, which means that the person should have goals that should be defined.

Fourth component: Awareness and perception. What do you want to be after four years of study?

Fifth component: Self-confidence. In this context, Dr. Ibrahim tackled the subject of Hijab (veil) and whether or not it hinders female students’ participation in life activities. All of them answered 'No'.

Sixth component: Determination which is similar to ants in their determination and resolution.

If students adopt these moral characteristics, the outcome will, Allah Willing, be 4×4.

At the end of the course, the participants expressed their thanks and appreciation to the lecturer who delivered it.
