Under the slogan "Do not be the eighth woman... Early detection of cancer saves your life", the Public Health Unit at the University's Medical Center will hold an event that aims to raise women's awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer. The event will be held at the University's Medical Center in Al-Aziziyyah for a duration of two days: 21–22 Safar, 1440 A.H., in the morning. The event will include the following:
An awareness-raising section that distributes leaflets on breast cancer, how to prevent it, early detection, and therapeutic nutrition.
A medical clinic during the period of the event under the supervision of Dr. Khadijah Al-Gohary. The clinic will perform clinical detections of breast cancer and respond to any inquiries the patients may have.
An awareness video on breast cancer and methods of early detection and self-examination, which will be displayed on all the screens at the University Medical Center.
A presentation via IPad that includes an explanation of self-examination procedures, a simplified explanation of diagnostic radiography, and a discussion concerning the best age to start screening for breast cancer.
Some gifts holding the event's slogan will be offered to the patients.
