The Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management at the College, under the supervision of Dr. Yousry Nabil and the follow up of Dr. Ali Al-Qassem, the Head of the Department, and the discussion panel consisted of the department’s members. The graduation projects this year were distinguished for being inspired from the Saudi Arabian Vision 2030. The students formed an e-booking firm to deal with the expected increase in bookings in Makkah and Madina which is being targeted by the Vision to reach 30 million pilgrims. The students also designed a website and application on the phone for that purpose, in addition to different scientific methodologies.
Another environmental hospitality graduation project, also inspired from Vision 2030, was presented to contribute to preserving the Saudi resources, which is one of the Vision’s goals too. In their presentation, the students focused on the different green applications to preserve the environment while providing low-cost hospitality service.
In light of the cultural diversion and targeting large number of pilgrims , the third project presented a consortium of restaurants for three different cultures: American, Italian and French in Makkah. The students focused in studying the different experiences from restaurants around the world to design their project.
At the end, the students and panel members (Dr. Sultan Al-Harby, Dr. Hany Hosny, Dr. Hatem Radwan, and Dr. Yousry Nabil) thanked the leaders of the University, College and Department for their great support to the students and the continuous development for the educational process in the College.
