Under the theme “With Thanks We Honor the Distinguished,” the Directorate of the Social Sciences College (Girls Section) organized an honoring ceremony for its administrative and educational cadres on Thursday, 17th Shaaban 1439H. The event was held under the patronage of Dr. Muhammad bin Ahmad Ba-Saqr (the Dean) and Dr. Kholoud bint Abdullah Al-Thubaity (the Vice-Dean for the Girls Section). The event also included welcoming the College’s affiliates who returned from scholarship and the newly-appointed teaching assistants and lecturers. For example, Prof. Dr. Jihan As-Sayyed, Former Coordinator of the College for Registration, who had worked for eight years with all sincerity and dedication in serving the students of the College, was loyally honored. Moreover, Dr. Suzan Bardes (Former Assistant Head of the English Language Department) and Dr. Maha Al-Luheiby (Former Assistant Head of the Social Service Department) were honored.

In the same context, thanks was extended to all assistant heads of departments, coordinators, employees and the different educational affairs and activities committees for their efforts through the past year. In addition, the College’s administrative employees and staff members who were promoted scientifically and functionally, as well as those who excelled in the participation in scientific conferences and researches, were congratulated.

Honoring went also to the participating committees in the preparation of the BA and Master’s Guide (which would be launched soon), as well as in the introduction of the Student Council which would start work in the coming year).

During the ceremony, memorial shields, certificates and souvenirs were awarded to the affiliates in appreciation of their efforts and contributions. In turn, the affiliates handed Dr. Kholoud Al-Thubaity a shield and a souvenir as a sign of gratitude for her efforts in the service of the College.
