Dr. Jaber bin Saeed Al-Zahrany, Dean of the Colleges of Engineering and Computers, hosted Mr. Muhammad Abdoh Al-Marhaby, Head of the Entrepreneurship Institute in Al-Qunfudha. From the College of Computers, the meeting was attended by Dr. Abdullah Al-Zahrany (Vice-Dean) and Dr. Idris Al-Kenany (Staff Member). On the other hand, and from the College of Engineering, the meeting was attended by Dr. Ulwi Ba-Mahdy (Vice-Dean), Dr. Obaid Al-Hadreety (Vice-Dean for Training and Industrial Relations), Eng. Ibrahim Al Mureyye’ (Head of the Department of Construction Engineering), as well as Eng. Ahmad Azeb (Staff Member).
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al-Zahrany welcomed Mr. Al-Marhaby, who in turn introduced the Institute’s mission, objectives, initiatives, programs and courses to young Saudi beneficiaries who wished to work on a freelance, or other, basis. Mr. Al-Marhaby also demonstrated the material and knowledge support, such as training and qualification, in order to provide the labor market with distinguished cadres in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
In the same context, the meeting discussed the possibility of cooperation between the Colleges of Engineering and Computers on the one hand and the Entrepreneurship Institute on the other, by holding introductory workshops for students. In addition, participants exchanged dialogues and enriched the meeting with interventions about the possibility of holding a profession day for students, presenting the successful experiences of projects supported by Riyada (Entrepreneurship) programs, and holding training courses that qualified students for engagement in the business world and the labor market, and for participation in achieving the Saudi Vision 2030 and developing the country.
At the end of the meeting, everyone expressed happiness and welcome regarding cooperation between Riyada (Entrepreneurship) and the Colleges of Engineering and Computers and coordination of future joint meetings and activities.
