The College of Dentistry (female section) held, on Thursday, Jumada Al-Awwal 29, 1439 AH, a workshop entitled “Challenges for Dentists”:
Interactive Workshop on Basics of the Basics “Enjoying Dentistry and Managing Patients towards Developing Excellent Clinical Skills in History Taking, Focused Clinical Examination and Shaping Your Future as a Dentist”
This was under the supervision of Dr. Salwa Dahlawi, Dr. Sarah Taher, and Dr. Lujain Homeida, with the participation of teaching assistants Dr. Ghaidaa Badabaan and Dr. Batoul Al-Suleimani. The workshop was held at the library of the College. It was facilitated in the form of discussions; explanations of scenarios and situations that dentists might face with patients at clinics; and analyses of such scenarios and situations. This is in addition to an elaborate explanation on how to take the history of a patient in full detail. Students notably reacted during the workshop, and participated providing useful examples. And other topics were proposed for discussion in coming workshops – if God wills.
At the end of the workshop, Her Excellency Dr. Sarah Tahra, Vice Dean of the College of Dentistry, thanked Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Khotani, Dean of the College of Dentistry, for his continuous support to whatever serves the interests of students and achieves the desired objectives of the College. She also praised the participation by the teaching assistants during the workshop, and thanked all the College’s employees who contributed to making this workshop a success.
