Training Programs Launched within Scientific Research Initiative for Second Semester 1439AH

The President of UQU launched on Sunday 25 Jumada Al-Oula 1439AH the training programs for the initiative to develop the skills of faculty members and graduate studies students in scientific research for the current semester. The initiative includes five programs, which are:

  • Leadership preparation program in scientific research:
  • The program aims to increase the efficiency of the administrative leaderships in the field of scientific research in a way that ensures coordination between the vision of the institution in scientific research and academic programs. It reinforces the common concepts of the most prominent practices, as well as the target performance indicators, in order to develop the level of scientific research and its output locally and internationally.
  • The program targets administrative leaderships in the field of scientific research. It also targets distinct researchers who left an impact on the path of research in UQU and have made research accomplishments from research support programs, such as internal or external grants.
 

 

 

  • Researchers preparation program in the field of entrepreneurship:
  • The program aims to create an environment that encourages and supports scientific research in the field of entrepreneurship, with the aim of making reaching the highest levels of quality in the field. The program aims to contribute to economic development through creating a value added to research products within the cognitive community.
 

 

 

  • The specialized researcher program:
  • The specialized researcher program offers a package of various courses in different research fields, based on the general needs of researchers in the different specialties. The program targets the segment of specialized faculty members, with the aim of offering them the basics of scientific research and its procedures. These various courses are distinguished by a group of professional trainers in their fields. They were chosen based on the recommendations presented to the Deanship of Scientific Research, as well as their skills in the field of qualifying individuals to have the requirements needed for strong scientific research. 
 

 

 

  • Researcher maker program “for graduate studies students”:
  • The program aims to qualify and prepare specialized scientific competencies of graduate studies students in various fields of scientific research. It also aims to encourage them to keep pace with the rapid progress of science and technology, motivate them to publish distinguished scientific research, and help them choose distinguished publishing journals in their fields, as well as respond to the criticism of international arbitrators, in addition to having the modern requirements for publishing research in international journals.
 

 

 

  • Training program for the preparation of scientific research volunteers:
  • The program aims to develop the emotional, cognitive and behavioral skills required for voluntary researchers in the field of research volunteering and volunteer research. This course offers 15 consecutive hours of training, distributed on five separate training courses delivered by skilled trainers, both scientifically and practically, in theoretical and applied specialties.
 

 

 

 The first session of the first program will be held in the presence of Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assass, the UQU President, on Monday, 3 Jumada Al-Akhira 1439AH, at 11:30 am. It will take place at King Abdulaziz Support Hall (1), and the Deanship of Scientific Research’s hall at the girls section. Attendance is allowed for all.

The launching was attended by Dr. Thamir Al-HArbi, the UQU Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research; Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Ahdal, the Dean of Scientific Research; Dr. Faisal Barwis, the Vice Dean of Scientific Research, and Dr. Emad Flimban, the head of the Science and Technology unit.
