The seminar committee was made up of Dr. Zeinab Matar, Dr. Fatima Mahrous, Dr. Mona Al-Refaei and Dr. Doaa Sayed who asked students questions and made beneficial recommendations.

Projects were varied and innovative aiming at serving the community and making life easier. Projects included studies on the Li Fi technology, recycling plastic wastes into green machine fuel and recycling old deices like recycling a CRT television into an oscilloscope. Besides, there were studies on smart windows, safe buildings, dosage measurement systems using diode, charging smart phones using renewable energy, using solar cells in heating, the effect of low-level laser on obese students (Zerona), the use of Nano-technology in water purification, as well as other interesting and useful studies that reflect the importance of physics in life.

Outstanding topics included a study that helps pilgrims in Hajj and Umrah through using, for instance, oxygen pumping devices in overcrowded areas, using RFID to manage crowded places in Hajj, the smart meter as well as studies on modern insulation applications like AirLoy and Perogel, and converting mechanical energy into electric power through the piezo-electric technology.
