Discussion of  Graduation Projects of the Department of Islamic Architecture

As part of the presentation and discussion program of the graduation projects of the Architectural Design Studios of the students of Islamic architecture for the second semester of the academic year 1436-1437H, the following projects were presented and discussed:


 
Architectural Design Studio 8 (Graduation projects)- 30: 


 
Students participated in this project amounted to 48, under the supervision of Dr. Jamil bin Mohamed Al-Salafi, Dr. Abd Al-Ghani bin Hassan Monwar, Dr. Magdy Mohamed Bastawesy, and Dr. Ehab Farouq Rashid. The projects covered many topics including the design of college buildings (Engineering Colleges Complex), courts buildings in Makkah, pilgrims housing in Mina mountains, Islamic centers in western the countries(Spain, Canada), heritage and Islamic art museums, administrative buildings ( ministries, municipalities), and environmental resorts. The presentations were followed by a discussion by a panel including  Prof. Abdul Hamid Al-Bis, Prof. Khalid Sami, Prof. Mohamed Wahba, Pro. Mohamed Atif Elhami.

 

Architectural Design Studio 10 (Graduation projects)- 23: 


Students participated in this project amounted to 16, under the supervision of Prof. Adil bin Yasin. The projects covered many topics including the design of geological museum in Makkah, sport stadium in Madinah, UQU college of environmental designs, cultural center in Makkah, housing project in Makkah, Heritage museum in Makkah, public hospital in Makkah, school complex in Makkah, bus  station in Al-Umrah, Makkah train station, sport center in Makkah, and conferences and exhibitions center. The presentations were followed by a discussion by a panel including  Prof. Abdul Hamid Al-Bis, and Prof. Khalid  Ba Rashi.
