The Laboratories and Workshops Committee of the Department of Islamic Architecture activated the operation plan of the maquettes courses, starting from Monday 3 Safar 1439H. The committee contacted different coordinators of the Architectural Design Studios to prepare lists with the outstanding students to make preliminary maquettes for their architecture projects in the maquette training courses. The workshop lasted on a weekly basis to achieve the targeted objectives of deepening the role of maquettes in the architecture and raising the students' efficiency in manufacturing the architectural models.

The courses were managed by Dr. Tarek Abu Aouf and the Architect Hossam Morad.
