Sulaiman, a graduate of the Department of Physical Education and a winner of many regional and international championships in Judo, was competing strongly over the last months to qualify for the Olympic Games; one of the biggest and most important sport event and a dream of each athlete.
Thanks to his unstinting hard work, his dream came true. He will represent KSA in Rio 2016 Olympics; this great sport event which will be held in Brazil within three months. Hammad is the only athlete to represent KSA after he had passed difficult qualifying finals.
It is worth noting that the Olympic Games are limited to a number of the best athletes in different games from all over the world. So qualifying for the Olympic Games is in itself a great achievement and a dream of each athlete.
This gallant champion of whom the KSA is proud graduated from the UQU and deserves to be appreciated and honored at all levels as a motivation and encouragement for him to continue his progress and be the best ambassador – Allah willing – to this generous Country.
On this occasion, Dr. Tawfiq al-Bakri, head of Department of Physical Education congratulated His Excellency Dr. Bakri bin Matouk Assas, the UQU president, UQU vice-presidents and all the UQU members. He also gave thanks to Dean of College of Education Dr. Ali al-Matrafi for his unceasing support for all the College's members and students. Congratulations for our son Sulaiman Hammad on this wonderful achievement!
