On Saturday, 8/2/1439 H, the Deanship of Scientific Research, represented by Attaa Initiative, participated in the events of the first (Volunteering Spirit Forum), organized by Hajar Program. The event was organized under the auspices of the Dean of University Studies, Dr. Hala bint Saeed Al-Amoudi in presence of the Assitant Manager of Educational Affiars, Dr. Amna bint Mohamed Al-Ghamdi.
The forum aimed to present an overview of Attaa Initiative for Voluntary Researches and their outcomes as a model of successful national initiatives that complied with quality standards.
The Vice-dean of Scientific Research of Quality and Development, Dr. Hanadi bint Mohamed Behairy, opened the event with a list of the successful national initiatives, stressing the importance of Attaa Initiative for the Deanship of Scientific Research, UQU and KSA.
The leader of Attaa Initiative, Dr. Somaya bint Ezzat Sharaf, gave a detailed presentation on the initiative's vision, mission, objectives and outcomes in its first year. She pointed out to the role of the initiative in boosting cooperation, internal and external partnerships; creating database for voluntary researches and the accomplishments of colleges and deanships in the field of voluntary research.
The event concluded with honoring the Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Ahdal, the Vice-dean of Quality and Development for their efforts in training and judging voluntary work teams participating in the forum. The organizers of the forum also honored Attaa Initiative for participation in the activities. The ceremony was attended by a number of female initiative supervisors, including: the Deputy-head of Arabic Language Center, Dr. Haifaa Fida, the Vice-dean of Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Faizah Al-Luhiani, Dr. Amira Al-Saedi.
