Persons with special needs are dear people to our hearts and a significant component of society. Stemming from our duty to pay attention to such category and their physical and dental health, because of the significant positive impact on their physical and psychological health and scholastic performance, the Mobile Clinic at the College of Dentistry, Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), visited the Disabled Children's Association in Makkah on Sunday 2nd Safar 1439H. 37 children were examined and treated.
The treatment included fillings and protective fluoride, in addition to education of children to care more for their teeth.
In this context, the College of Dentistry thanks all the staff of the Center for their cooperation in making this visit a success.
On the other hand, the visit was supervised by Dr. Abla Arafa (Assistant Professor of Children Dentistry) and Dr. Ghaidaa Ba-Dhab’an (Teaching Assistant). It was also assisted by Mrs. Iman Wajih (Dentist Assistant). It witnessed the participation of the following internship students:
