The first workshop titled, “International Academic Accreditation at the Department” for the academic year of 1439H was held on Thursday, 22^nd Muharram 1439H (12^th October2017) at the discussion room of the Master's theses in the Department of Islamic Architecture.

Dr. Ibrahim Nouruddin Al-Bukhari, Head of the Department of Islamic Architecture, opened the workshop with an explanation of the current situation of the Department’s admission to the International Academic Accreditation (ASIIN). He also presented the preparations completed during the past and current years, i.e. the effort exerted in preparing the last of self-study drafts with the participation of all the Department’s colleagues.

Then, the workshop started with a presentation by the Department’s Accreditation and Quality Committee, which was explained by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Atef, on the final copy of the self-study presented to the German association. The presentation was followed by a discussion among the Department’s colleagues which was managed by Dr. Jamil bin Muhammad Al-Salafi. Another discussion was with the aim of reviewing the significance of preparing the question sheet to measure learning outcomes according to the German Accreditation. Then, mini-workshops were organized for the different committees at the Department. Finally, the internal workshop concluded at 03:00 pm.
