Under the auspices of Dr. Sultan A. al-Baqami, Dean of the UQU College of Business Administration, the Creativity and Entrepreneurship Club organized a workshop under the theme: "Innovation and Idea Design", on Monday, Rajab 27, 1438H, corresponding to April 24, 2017. The workshop was designed by Dr. Suzan A. Wazan, Vice Dean of the College, and was presented by Dr. Najwa Samarqandi, assistant head of the Department of Creativity and Entrepreneurship, UQU College of Business Administration, winner of Inventor of the Year Award.
At the beginning of the workshop, the concepts of creativity and innovation were explained, showing the difference between them, and highlighting how ideas are made, designed and organized. The workshop touched on 5 topics:
- Creativity & Innovation Defined
- Effective Use of Innovation Strategies
- Concept of Design Thinking
- Steps, Tools and Mothods of Design Thinking
- Access to Design Thinking Apps
As part of the workshop, stimulating exercises were provided on handwork and mental activities. At the end of the workshop, encouraging words were exchanged, and the participating students expressed their happiness with the useful, inspiring activities of the workshop.
