The College of Applied Medical Sciences (Specialization: Physiotherapy) held an awareness event at the Modern Fitness Club entitled "Work Efficiently." The event was held on Wednesday, corresponding to 26 Muharram, 1441 A.H. from 4 to 7 P.M., under the supervision of His Excellency the Head of the Department of Physiotherapy, Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim.
The event aimed to raise the awareness of different categories of society, including the staff and members of the sporting club, through presenting information about lower back pain, such as the causes and symptoms accompanying the pain. In addition to giving some advice and exercises, the speech was supported by practical application as well as using the modern technology and the scientific publications.

The causes of lower back pain include extreme fatigue, muscle cramps, and cartilage inflammation. Risk factors include being overweight and sitting for long periods of time. Examples of methods of prevention of lower back pain at work and during exercising include sitting on an ergonomic chair and exercising on solid ground. Exercises for strengthening and elongation of the back muscles. Positions that reduce lower back pain, such as cat position, child position, pigeon position, and others. The symptoms accompanying lower back pain.
When should you see a doctor?
See your doctor when the pain is accompanied by problems in the intestines and bladder, unexplained weight loss, and formication in one or both legs.
It is worth mentioning that the event was held through the participation of the female students: Afnan Al-Molid, Rahaf Al-Matruk, Rahaf Al-Subhi, Reem Amin, Rose Al-Batati, Ruwan Al-Jafri, Saja Al-Otaibi, Shorouq Al-Mallawi, Ghaidaa Al-Qurashi, Dai Al-Otaibi, and Wejdan Abdul-Muttalib.
