Course Idea and Goals:

This is a one-day educational activity with interactive lectures directed to students and residents . It is based on the concept that research is a complex set of skills built up on each other to produce a competent researcher. The aim of this activity is to the prepare participants to self-progress and development. This program should empower the members in adopting the concept of evidence-based medicine, reading and critiquing scientific articles, scientific writing, conducting literature review and address issue related to publications (manuscript preparation, writing efficiently, journal selection, submission process and responding to reviewers

• Explain the principles of Evidence-Based Medicine

• Critique& read studies efficiently &Write efficient proposals
• Prepare manuscript  addressing all steps: writing introduction and discussion, formatting tables,
• Discuss Authorship &Publication process, journal selection, cover letter& response to reviewers
• Discuss different obstacles facing researchers and how to come over them
