Vision

Overview

The University Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs was established as per the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz (may Allah have mercy on him), pursuant to the Royal Order No. 4465/M.B. dated 28 Jumada Al-Awwal 1431 A.H. The University Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs at Umm Al-Qura University is considered one of the newly established vice presidencies.

The aim of its establishment was to contribute to the development of the skills and the professional and moral standards of university students, paying attention to and advancing them in all respects. This is in addition to overcoming all obstacles that obstruct the academic process as well as providing all educational possibilities and opportunities for our students.

Objectives

• Creating an educational environment that is attractive and stimulates creativity and excellence.
• Raising the performance efficiency of the supporting deanships associated with the vice deanship.
• Providing pioneering educational programs that are in line with comprehensive quality standards.
• Building bridges of academic communication inside and outside the university.
• Building effective partnerships with community institutions with the aim of meeting the requirements of the labor market.
• Adopting criteria for the admission of undergraduate students that encourage the attraction of distinguished students.

Praise be to Allah Who blessed us with guidance and guided us to Islam, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet, Muhammad bin Abdullah, his revered family and righteous companions.

The University Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs seeks to meet the ambitions and act upon the directions set by the framework of the development plans in the Saudi Kingdom which were issued by the Ministry of Higher Education. Within this framework, and in cooperation with other vice deanships and colleges, the University Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs works on developing educational programs and existing plans, reviewing them and developing others in line with strategic directions.

The vice deanship coordinates with the relevant authorities, as well as the Ministries of Labor and Civil Service, to provide constant means to reach this objective, including building distinguished partnerships with the best institutions internally and externally.

The role of the vice deanship also involves following up on the educational process and providing services related to teaching and learning. These services include following up on the performance and needs of the classrooms and laboratories in all university colleges, deanships, and institutes.
