Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds and Peace and Blessing be upon the prophet of guidance and seal of the prophets, and all of his family and companions ...
The uniqueness of the department of Arabic language teaching in the Institute of Teaching Arabic Language to Nonnative speakers, emanates from being located in the holy city of Makkah, the place of revelation to Prophet Mohamed Peace be Upon Him and the land of mission to which the first verses of the Holy Quran was sent down- The eternal Book of Allah- : Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, created the human from a (blood) clot. Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, who taught by the pen, taught the human what he did not know
The Arabic language is the language through which the Holy Quran was sent down and the pure Sunnah (prophetic traditions) was narrated, as such the need arises to teach it to Muslim sons, the non-native speakers of the Arabic language to help them understanding the book of Allah and Sunnah of prophet Muhamad (peace be upon him) correctly.
The late Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques who was then deputy premier issued in 1399H a royal decree converting the department from a center affiliating to the College of Shari'a and Islamic Studies into an independent institute and deanship under the name of Institute of teaching Arabic language for non-Arabs
The Department provides a full scholarship for two years form the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for enrolled male and female students from the Muslim sons of non-speakers of the Arabic language of different nationalities. The Institute recruits experts and specialists in teaching Arabic language for non-speakers.
During the last two years the department has witnessed the followings:
