Praise be to Allah, and peace be upon Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions.
It goes without saying, development of the education and health sectors in any country are deemed to be key indicators and manifestations of progress and civilization. And thanks to Allah in the first place, our dear kingdom has went through a boom in both sectors; it has witnessed substantial development, and undeniable renaissance in the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Particular attention has been paid to graduation of highly qualified national medical cadres, going in line with the world's best and latest educational systems. In this spirit, the UQU College of Nursing was founded in 1433H. Thereby, the college, that used to be a department at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, has developed into a fully fledged college.
Currently, the college offers one degree; that is BSc in nursing. The college has put upon itself the responsibility of graduating highly-qualified, well-trained nursing cadres, to provide a safe, best-quality medical service for our society, and promoting the theoretical knowledge, research, and real-world practices, by way of providing a supportive, innovation-friendly learning environment. In addition to the outstanding elite of faculty members, the college is supported with all necessary facilities and capabilities, including classrooms, and laboratories equipped with the latest and most advanced nursing simulation devices.
Since its inception, the college has managed to realize numerous achievements in academics, research and community service. It now endeavors to get the prestigious international accreditation of nursing from Germany.
All college staff spare no effort to put the college's ambitious vision into action; that is to take the lead domestically, and prove to be a strong competitor at the regional level, so far as nursing education, research, practicing, and community service are concerned. May Allah guide us to success!
