Student is the cornerstone and first priority of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Our students receive our utmost care, and we do our best with the aim to graduate students who are able to make the difference at industrial institutions. This is demonstrated that they get prestigious positions at such engineering sectors as power plants, desalination plants, petroleum refining and petrochemicals companies, among many other sectors, both public and private.

In our quest to make the best and highest experiences available to our students, we make sure that all students are supervised and guided by academic advisors, and that all courses are taught by a distinguished constellation of faculty members.

 One of the department's major tasks is to prepare and develop curricula, in a manner commensurate to the growth and development underway in industrial and engineering fields. Additionally, the department offer a post-graduate (master) program.

 Noteworthy, the department's BA program has won ABET accreditation from 2010 to 2017. Our sought-after objective is to make the department outstanding in all the activities it carries out. To that end, we make every effort to provide refined educational and research services through high-standard programs for undergraduate and graduate students alike.

In the long run, we envisage promoting experiences of our undergraduate students, by way of developing the department's labs, fostering quality of our research activities, and getting a higher rank at the national level by getting into partnership with multiple governmental and industrial institutions.
