Physics Department aims at preparing specialized technical cadres on the theoretical and practical level in order to be capable of working with all industrial, research and scientific institutions, where countries' civilized progress is mainly attributed to impressive progress in Physics.

Physics is the science of matter , its movement and energy,  attempting to understand natural phenomena and the forces affecting them and drafting knowledge in laws, not only interpreting the previous operations, but also predicting the natural processes pace with models approaching slowly to reality.

Physics is the basis for all applied sciences such as geometry, medicine, agriculture and astronomy, etc. Thus, among the the objectives of Physics Department was to provide efficient, qualified and specialized graduates who can efficiently contribute to development of their society. The Department, thereupon, seeks to utilize best methods in education, support male and female students in term of scientific and logical thinking, develop the spirit of scientific research for them. Moreover, it strives to hire high profile scientific competencies from teaching staff members, with the aim of raising the level of educational attainment for male and female students.ًُ
