The main tasks of the department
|
- Reply to e-mail inquiries.
- Respond to electronic ticket inquiries.
- Respond to inquiries received from the library's WhatsApp service.
- Provide a reference service for the library.
- Provide a beneficiary guidance service.
- Conduct field tours for library beneficiaries.
- Facilitate the lending service and the related business.
- Deal with electronic services (the Dorar knowledge platform, information bases, the library catalog).
- Oversee the services in the halls (thesis hall, private libraries hall, reading hall, periodicals hall, private libraries, secret libraries, research retreats, special needs hall, Hajj and Umrah hall).
- Use the electronic services of the library when dealing with the beneficiaries.
- Determine the training needs of the beneficiaries.
- Prepare a plan for the training courses for the beneficiaries.
- Prepare a calendar of Arab and international days concerned with libraries, information, and the society.
- Prepare a plan for the ongoing briefing throughout the year.
- Prepare special information awareness programs for recent beneficiaries.
- Prepare information awareness programs about library services.
- Prepare information awareness programs on the management of library services for the deanship employees.
- Determine behavior guidelines for the library beneficiaries.
- Design advertisements on the services the library provides.
- Publish on social networks and the deanship's website, and send information to beneficiaries' e-mails.
- Carry out digital maintenance of documents and manuscripts.
- Apply sterilization and restoration policies to various information resources.
- Use the best methods for handling and maintaining documents and manuscripts.
