The main tasks of the department

The department applies a comprehensive indexer system and performs the following tasks:

  • Cataloging all forms of information resources.
  • Cataloging resources on all systems used in the library.
  • Training technical personnel on the systems used: barcode, labeling, tag-based programming.
  • Helping with indexing lists.
  • Distributing books to branch libraries in the automated system.
  • Correcting and modifying electronic information resources and bibliographic records in the system.
  • Preparing and implementing exclusion lists, weeding lists, and inventory lists, and issuing the necessary reports and lists for cataloging.
  • Building a "newly arrived" list of all cataloged information sources.
  • Issuing, withdrawing and receiving confidential book reports and sending letters to colleges.
