Abstract
The study aimed to identify the reality of psychological adjustment of visually impaired students in institutions of higher education in the Sultanate of Oman, identify the variables that impact the psychological adjustment of visually impaired students, to identifying the reality of social adjustment of visually impaired students, and determining the variables that influence the social adjustment of visually impaired students in institutions of higher education in the Sultanate of Oman. This study is considered a descriptive-analytical study, using the comprehensive social survey method for all visually impaired students in higher education institutions in the Sultanate of Oman (64) visually impaired students. A questionnaire was used for visually impaired undergraduate students from various colleges and universities in the Sultanate of Oman. Regarding the results of the study, they indicated that the relative strength of the psychological adjustment dimension was 74.4%, which is a high value, and this is considered an indicator of a good level of psychological adjustment among the study population. The results also indicated that the services provided to visually impaired students helped them feel happy in their university studies, as an important determinant of their psychological adjustment, and that visually impaired students often do not suffer from negative feelings towards themselves. The relative strength of the social compatibility dimension was 70.8%, which is a value ranging between medium and high.
