Abstract
The current study aimed at developing free reading skills and creative reading self among linguistically talented intermediate school students, using the program based on electronic linguistic games. To achieve the objective of the study, the semi-experimental approach based on one experimental group with a pre- and post-test was used. The sample consisted of (24) linguistically talented intermediate school students. The experimental treatment materials included a list of free reading skills, and a list of creative self-reading skills, and teacher's guide for teaching using a program based on electronic linguistic games, student's activities brochure, the free reading test, and the creative reading self scale, and the program and measurement tools were applied before and after on the research sample under study, and the results showed a statistical significance at the level (0.05) in free reading skills and creative reading self in favor of the post application. Based on the previously mentioned results, the researcher recommended designing a program for providing Arabic teachers with free reading skills and methods to develop it through Arabic courses. He also recommended preparing training courses and workshops for Arabic teachers to develop electronic linguistic games to develop free reading skills.
