This unit focuses on study of pilgrims and Umrah performers movement to and from Mecca and Medina, studying the following: vehicular and pedestrian traffic, and their characteristics within Mecca and Medina, the holy sites, and between them.
Besides, this unit is interested in studying the movement to and from the Grand Mosque, the Prophet's Mosque, and within them through (doors, stairs, Mataf and Al-Masaa).
The Unit studying also the special nature areas, like Jamaraat araa and airports. The focus of the unit is centered on research and providing various alternatives to develop the system and means of movement using the latest technology, ideas and solutions, and participating in its execuation.
One of the most important projects in which the unit contributed is the study of transporting the pilgrims in the holy sites using bandwidth transport system, as well as the development of the Jamarat area and its bridge project.
