The department’s main objective is to prepare a new generation of scientifically and technically distinguished fashion designers, and also promote their fashion projects and provide them with job opportunities in this field.
The department’s sub-objectives include:
- Honing the students’ technical and artistic skills, and expanding their intellectual awareness and knowledge about fashion design.
- Encouraging the students' creativity and innovation, and empowering them to express their personal points of view by producing expressive designs reflecting the latest trends in the fashion industry.
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of the history of fashion, and explaining how fashion trends affect local and global cultures.
- Organizing live fashion shows to communicate with target customers for marketing expressive and distinctive fashion designs.
- Teaching techniques of individual and industrial production of fashion designs for different age groups, and also ways to drape fabrics around a mannequin.
- Providing information on how to develop clothing production lines and identify manufacturing stages to obtain high-quality fashion designs.
- Keeping pace with the latest technological and electronic developments in the field of fashion design and the production of ready-made clothes using computers.
- Focusing on field training in industrial institutions to prepare students for the labor market.
