Since it is the department responsible for all academic movements of the student during his study at the university, the Academic Affairs is considered the academic gate of the student to the university, where the student has the right to enjoy all available movements, according to the Study and Exams regulation for the university level.

 

Strategic Objectives:

  • Raise students’ awareness on the academic systems of the university.
  • Develop the academic services offered to the students.
  • Improve the organizational and administrative affairs of the department based on quality standards.
  • Enhance the procedures of the academic movements as required by work and students’ interest. 

 

Responsibilities of the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs: (Movements offered to the students by the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs)

  • Re-register students (Leaver, dropout, whose registration is folded, Academically dismissed)
  • Drop one semester.
  • Postpone study.
  • Change discipline among the colleges and departments of the university and its branches (Makkah Al-Muarramah- Al-Laith- Al-Qunfudhah- Adem)
  • Total withdrawal from the university.
  • Edit students’ personal information.
  • Automated allocation of preparatory year students (Medical Studies- Science Studies- Administrative Studies)
  • Automated allocation of preparatory year evening students (Science Studies- Administrative Studies)
  • Automated allocation of rehabilitative year evening students (Theoretical Colleges)
  • Compulsory transfer of preparatory year students (who failed in the program)
  • Remove the out-of-plan courses for transfer students.
  • Change the automated major of the students who want to join the sequential educational preparation program in the participating colleges in all university branches.
  • Withdraw from the sequential educational preparation program.
  • Execute the disciplinary decisions issued by the disciplinary committee in the Deanship of Students Affairs.
  • Suspend students.

 

Achievements of the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs:

  • Implement students re-registration plan (Leavers, Dropouts, Academically dismissed) for affiliated students and regular students.
  • Implement allocation plan for the students who succeeded in the preparatory year (Medical Studies- Science Studies- Administrative Studies) in all branches (Makkah Al-Muhkarramah- Al-Laith- Al-Qunfudhah)
  • Implement allocation plan for evening students who did not succeed in the preparatory year at the College of Applied Science according to the regulations and standards of the college.
  • Implement allocation plan for evening students who succeeded in the preparatory year (Science Studies- Administrative Studies) in the university campus in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
  • Implement allocation plan for evening student who succeeded in the rehabilitative year (Theoretical Studies) in Makkah Al Mukarramah and Al-Qunfudhah campuses.
  • Implement automated specialization change plan among the colleges and departments of the university in all branches (Makkah Al-Mukarramah- Al-Laith- Al-Qunfudhah- Adem)
  • Implement a plan to change the automated specialization into the educational sequential preparation program for participating colleges in (Makkah Al Mukarramah- Al-Qunfudhah- Al-Laith) campuses.
  • Work is ongoing on offering the study postponement and study apology movements among the electronic services offered for the students, in collaboration with the Deanship of Information Technology, along with putting an action plan for the implementation.
  • Work is ongoing on offering text messages to students on all implemented academic movements, in collaboration with the Deanship of Information Technology. 
  • Participate in the annual meeting for preparatory year students under the auspices of the President of the university.
  • Participate in the membership of the Academic Coordination Committee.
  • Participate in the membership of the Coordinative Committee for Medical Colleges.
  • Participate in a workshop in the College of Designs.
