The Department of Banks and Financial Markets offers a bachelor program in Banks and Financial Markets.
It provides many job opportunities in banks and financial institutions and prepares the student for the postgraduate studies in banks and other related fields.

The program’s study plan was designed as per international specifications. American, European, Saudi and Arab universities’ experiences were used in making the program’s study plan and curricula.
The program was guided by the requirements and criteria of the academic accreditation as per the criteria of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA), according to the National Qualifications Framework for Higher Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Moreover, opinions of a number of specialists in the field of Islamic banking and financial institutions assisted in identifying the requirements and skills needed in the job market that should be acquired by the graduates of the department, with the possibility of the continuous enhancement for the curricula and study plans in a way that responds to the changes that are expected to happen in the world.
The study plan included 136 certified units, distributed over 8 semesters (4 years).
