Objectives and goals of the department:
First:
Preparing graduates distinguished with basic knowledge and skills, as well as a legitimate vision to work in various financial and banking sectors in community institutions (Education: University Studies Programs), in accordance with the quality concept to enhance the basic knowledge of students in the fields of banks and financial markets. Adopting the development of students’ talents, and enabling them to analyze and evaluate data, as well as rationalize decision-making.
Introducing students to the legitimate rules of Islamic financial and banking dealings, as well as the professional morals controlling the various aspects of financial and banking activities.
Reinforcing students’ practical experience through allowing them to participate pre-graduation training programs.
Second:
Meeting the society’s need for training and consultation in the fields of banking and financial markets (community service), spreading the financial and investment culture, simplifying the knowledge of finance and investment fields through the department’s link on the college's website (banks and financial markets), writing articles in newspapers, participating in radio programs, such as the (economic channel) programs.
Establishing strong links with the beneficiaries of the research and consultancy services provided by the department.
Directing training, development and consulting services for beneficiaries of modern applications of Islamic financial and banking dealings.
Third:
Developing knowledge in the specialty of banks and financial markets (scientific research), writing books and publishing scientific research in the fields of banks and financial markets, in addition to translating some of the most important books, research and published articles.
Establishing scientific organizations related to the specialties of Islamic finance and investment, as well as sponsoring them.
Adopting the organization of meetings, workshops, seminars and scientific conferences related to the speciality of (banks and financial markets).
