The Islamic Economics is one of the oldest academic departments in the Kingdom and the Muslim world. It was established as a first scientific and academic venue to spread the Islamic economics applications in the real world to supply the market with qualified specialists who are well-informed about the branches of economy and Islamic Shari'ah.

To that end, the department provided a group of special academic programs and courses (Bachelor, Master's and PhD) that were carefully developed to acquaint graduates with the economics, Shari'ah and analytic tools that are used in private and public labor markets.
