The UQU College of Pharmacy has won the 3^rd place in the Scientific Research Posters Competition, held within the framework of the 2^nd International Conference on Therapeutic Developments and Pharmaceutical Practices at the National Guard Hospital in Jeddah. The conference was held at InterContinental Jeddah Hotel, on April 16-18, 2017.

The College won the 3rd place through the participations of:

 - Nedaa Kerami 

- Anhar al-Mawled

- Areej al-Oteibi

- Eshteyaq al-Sobhi 

- Asmaa Bamoamen

Those five students jointly prepared and submitted a paper under the title: "Saudi community pharmacists knowledge, attitude and practices towards dispensing antibiotics without prescription (DAWP)"

The college participated with 11 research posters prepared by the College's students and faculty members.

This accomplishment by the College's students and faculty members testifies the College's research excellence. It shouldn't escape our notice, however, that such an achievement wouldn't be possible without the unstinting support of the UQU President, Dr. Bakri M. Assas, and the keen interest shown by the college in creating a research friendly atmosphere, by prompting faculty members to provide support, guidance and mentorship to their students.
