With hearts believing in Allah's decree and predestination, the Department of Physics at Umm Al-Qura University the loss of His Excellency Dr. Ahmad bin Yusuf Barqawi, an academic staff member at the department, who passed away on Sunday evening, 20 Ramadan 1442 A.H.

The deceased (may Allah have mercy on him) was an academic staff member at the Department of Physics for about 40 years, during which he held several administrative positions at the university. The last position he held was the General Supervisor of the Scholarships Department at Umm Al-Qura University.

The deceased also made several administrative and academic contributions at the department and the university. Moreover, he was known for his gentleness and good behavior throughout his tenure.

May Allah have mercy on the deceased, admit him into Paradise, and grant patience and consolation to his family.

Truly! To Allah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return.
