The College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies held a remote training course entitled: ‘Elucidation of the Learning Dimensions Model for Teaching Courses in Shari`ah Sciences’. The training course was conducted via the Webex program, and was presented by Her Excellency Dr. Atarid Hassan Muhammad Kaaki, a holder of a PhD in the Curriculum and Instruction of Islamic Education Programs. This took place on Tuesday and Wednesday, 18–19 Rajab 1442 A.H.
The course included a number of topics, including:
- The Concept of the Learning Dimensions Model.
- Postulates of the Learning Dimensions Model.
- Dimensions of the Five Dimensions of Learning Model.
- Implementation of One of the Strategies of the Learning Dimensions Model.
The doctor discussed the definition of the concept of the Learning Dimensions Model, which consists of a classroom teaching model that includes several procedural steps focusing on the interaction between the five dimensions of learning, which are presented in the following factors:
- Perceptions and positive attitudes about learning.
- Acquiring knowledge.
- Expanding knowledge.
- Using knowledge in a meaningful way.
- Practicing mental habits that occur during learning and contribute to its success.
At the end of the course, the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies awarded a certificate of thanks and appreciation to Her Excellency Dr. Atarid Kaaki for her efforts exerted in the course, which was well received by the attendees.
