The Faculty of Social Sciences, UQU,  held on Wednesday 20/07/1437H the First “Scientific Research Day”, in the presence of the faculty Dean Dr. Mohammed Basakr and the faculty staff member at the Faculty’s celebration hall.

The Faculty Dean Dr. Mohammed Basakr pointed out that during the ceremony, the faculty staff members who published prominent scientific researches during the past two years will be honored, also the students who who won first place in scientific research competitions on UQU level.

Dr. Basakr stated that “Scientific Research Day” is considered a unique opportunity to assess the researches of the outstanding UQU staff members, while it is also an opportunity for the students to explore their research ideas, communicate with their professors in the different scientific fields, in addition to consolidating the scientific research culture. He added that organizing this day is considered a gate to knowledge industry, research activity for the faculty and research continuity for its staff, refining the capabilities of students and researchers, improving scientific research output’s and using all available opportunities to go on the path to progress and achieve advancement in scientific research mechanism and outputs.

The faculty dean added that Social Sciences faculty will be keen every year to hold a Scientific Research Day, so that it be a periodical podium that sheds light on the faculty research efforts and a mainstay that reflects the participation of the staff members in scientific research and gather them under one umbrella, in order to encourage and motivate them to produce outstanding researches, through which they  are promoted to the highest scientific degrees, hence promoting their university to the status of outstanding universities. Then he thanked HE Dr. Bakri Bin Maatouq Assas, UQU President and the vice-presidents for their continuous support of all activities and the faculty programs, same as the other faculties.
