As part of a series of meetings within the activities of the “Digital Fountains” initiative, the College of Computer and Information Systems held an intensive training course entitled: “Ethics of Using Big Data and Artificial Intelligence”.
The course, which targeted students of college graduation projects and those interested in the field of data ethics, was held on Monday, 8 February 2021 A.C., for a period of three days.
The course presenter was Ms. Alyaa Al-Harbi, an academic staff member at the College of Computer and Information Systems and an interested researcher in data ethics.
The course discussed several themes, including:
- Responsible ethical research.
- Data Governance.
- Digital rights.
- Data Ethics.
- Human-data interaction and problems arising from them.
- Practical applications that include demonstrating an applied understanding of some current ethical issues in data science.
