Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers Launches Maqraa

The Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers launched Maqraa under the supervision of the Vice-Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Mona Haji and Vice-Dean of the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers, Dr. Samia al-Raddadi and in presence of members of the Shariah and Linguistic Committee and a number of students.

 The Maqraa comes within blessed partnership between the institute, Islamic Propagation Office of Al Zahir and TBEIAN, following in the steps of the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "The most superior among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it to others”.

The proceedings started with recitation of verses from the Quran followed by a word given by Ms. Aisha Al-Zahrani. Then, Dr. Mariam Abu Ali presented a definition about nature of the Maqraa and relevant regulations.

“The Maqraa is a corner to follow-up those female students who need to improve their recitation of Quran, correct pronunciation and proper memorization to reach excellence” she said.

Following which, the ribbon-cutting ceremony was conducted by Dr. Mona and Dr. Samia to declare opening this blessed corner for teaching Quran sciences and reading.

They prayed for Allah to bless all efforts participated in opening this corner which is the starting point for female students of the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers.

They expressed their thanks to Dr. Hazima Seraj, Dr. Amira Al-Sadi, Dr. Abeer Aqlan and Dr. Aisha Al-Zahrani
