The College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies held a remote training course entitled: ‘Dialogue in the Work Environment’, via the WebEx platform. The course was delivered by the trainer Ms. Danya Ali Dhun-Nun, Coordinator of the Educational Affairs Unit at the Vice Deanship of the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies and certified trainer at the National Dialogue Center, on Tuesday and Wednesday, corresponding to 9 and 10 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1442 A.H.
The course included several themes, namely:
- The concept of dialogue in the work environment, which is the positive communication in all its forms, shapes and objectives that takes place between work colleagues of different ranks and job positions.
- Types of dialogue in the work environment.
- The impact of dialogue at work on the productivity of the individual and the institution, as successful dialogue leads to an increase in the desire to work and also high production efficiency.
- Objectives of dialogue in the work environment.
- Learning about the basics of good aims for the work environment, as follows: health, conciseness, clarity, colleagues complementing each other, and discipline.
- Obstacles of dialogue in the work environment, and proper solutions for such problems, including: all circumstances that prevent effective communication in the work environment or reduce its effectiveness. These can be classified as follows: personal influences, organizational influences, environmental influences.
At the end of the course, the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies offered a certificate of acknowledgement and appreciation to Ms. Danya for the efforts she exerted.
