The College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies held a distance training session entitled: "Dialogue with Pilgrims and Visitors of the Prophet’s Mosque", via the Zoom program. The course was presented by Dr. Nadia Hashim Al-Lahiani, Associate Professor in the Department of Shari`ah.
The course included several themes, namely:
- Introducing the basics of successful dialogue with others, as dialogue is only a means and not an end.
- Acquiring dialogue skills and methods as dialogue is an art and skill requiring respect of the opinions of others.
- The Two Holy Mosques: vision from the inside
- The journey of Hajj and Umrah
- The guests of Allah: reception and bidding farewell
- Special skills in dealing with diverse cultures
After that, the presenter spoke about the journey of Hajj and Umrah, explaining that the person who succeeded in reaching the Grand Mosque for Hajj and Umrah must strive very hard to make his journey a journey of faith. At the conclusion of the event, the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies offered a certificate of acknowledgement and appreciation to Dr. Nadia Hashim Al-Lihyani for the efforts she exerted.
