The UQU Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Abdul-Wahhab bin Abdullah Salih Al-Resini, visited the Institute of Manuscripts and the Revival of Islamic Heritage at its headquarters in Al-Abdiyyah on Wednesday, 13 Safar, 1442 A.H. He was received by His Excellency the Vice Dean of the Institute of Manuscripts and the Revival of Islamic Heritage for Technical Affairs and Acting Dean of the Institute, His Excellency Dr. Himdan Darwish Al-Ghamdi, the Vice Dean of the Institute, Dr. Abdul-Rahman bin Husain bin Abdul-Rahman Abu Al-Khuyur, the Vice Dean of the Institute of Manuscripts and the Revival of Islamic Heritage for the female section, Dr. Tahani bint Muqbil Al-Qurashi, and the administrative staff of the institute. The Director of the Institute of Manuscripts and the Revival of Islamic Heritage, Hassan Shawish, and a number of employees attended the reception meeting.
Prof. Al-Resini listened to a brief explanation about the most important services offered by the institute for the visitors and male and female researchers. He also checked on the current status of the institute and the available manuscripts, books, and research. This is in addition to the future aspirations and how the institute will contribute to achieving its objectives in accordance with the plan of the UQU Vice Presidency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, its research priorities, and the UQU Empowerment Plan (Tamkeen 2023).
At the end of his visit, His Excellency thanked those in charge of the Institute of Manuscripts and the Revival of Islamic Heritage for the significant keenness they attach to preserving the Islamic heritage and developing the services provided for the interested visitors and researchers.
