The Department of Biology (female section) organized a training course entitled, 'Writing lab reports', presented by Her Excellency Dr. Fatimah Muhammad Al-Shahri, on Tuesday, 19 Safar 1442 A.H. The course was organized by the activity supervisor in the department, Ms. Ibtihal Al-Ansari. The session included the following topics:
- Explaining the way to organize laboratory reports, with a detailed explanation of all sections that must be written in the report.
- Reviewing some writing rules.
- Explaining the method of recording information in the lab note.
- Explaining the difference between lab reports and lab notes.
The lab report is considered one of the basic aspects that are important for the students of the scientific departments for their laboratory work throughout their university studies. In preparing this report, the student has to have writing skills, abide by specific protocols, and have the necessary skills for organizing and writing its elements. During the workshop, some exercises were carried out that encouraged the interaction of the students of the department.
