The Department of Chemistry at Al-Qunfudhah University College, represented by its Deputy Head of the Department, Her Excellency Ms. Salimah Al-Marhabi, has organized the first digital contest in the Summer of 2020 at Al-Qunfudhah University College (female section). Some prerequisites and conditions have been prescribed for participation in the contest, which includes themes for the various proposed topics. Female candidates will be subject to voting and evaluation.

First:

The contest awards: Valuable cash prizes, ranging from 250 riyals to 1,000 riyals, will be given to the top five winners, as well as appreciation certificates acknowledging the contestants' skills.

Second:

The subject matter of the contest: Production of a professional video lasting 4–10 minutes.

Third:

The proposed topics of the contest:

• Summer at Al-Qunfudhah
• Food Safety
• Are We Beginning to Feel the Effect of Global Warming?
• A Chemist's Summer Amid the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Crisis"

Fourth:

The conditions of the contest:

• The contestant must be a student or a graduate of the Department of Chemistry.
• The entire clip should be filmed, edited, and directed by the student, with her own lens.
• The beginning of the video should display the title: "The First Digital Contest of the Department of Chemistry in the Summer of 2020", and show only the university ID number of the female student, ( the clip should not include the name of the female student, to achieve impartiality when voting).

Fifth:

• Receipt of the female students' contributions will begin on 1 Muharram, 1442 A.H., via Telegram.
• The deadline for submissions is 5 Muharram, 1442 A.H.
• The female students will be able to display their presentations until 15 Muharram, 1442 A.H.
• At the end of the contest, voting will start and the jury will evaluate the contestants' works. Finally, the top five winners will be credited the voting results.
