To complement the curriculum and study plans of its students, the College of Engineering in Al-Leith, represented by the Vice Deanship for Educational Affairs, launched the summer training activities and workshops for its students during the summer semester of this year, 1441 A.H.
The Dean of the College of Engineering in Al-Leith, Dr. Iskandar bin Muhammad Hawsawi, said that the summer training, which will continue until the end of the summer semester of this year, aims to provide a group of workshops to cover the requirements of the curricula the students need to fulfill.
Dr. Hawsawi drew attention to the fact that the training includes several streams, such as professional project management, environmental geophysical applications, geospatial intelligence, the basics of industrial control, electrical system protection, risk analysis system, teamwork building, energy harvesting, pilgrims' safety and health, and using satellites in the environmental fields. In addition, the center provides other development streams that aim to enrich the students' practical capabilities and skills by offering workshops in the fields of communication and electronic engineering, as well as environmental engineering. The program will be held with the participation of an outstanding group of lecturers from inside and outside the university.
The Vice Dean for Educational Affairs in the College of Engineering in Al-Leith, Engineer Fahd Al-Harbi, mentioned that the college's Summer Center will hold several programs, workshops, and enrichment meetings during the summer. These activities will include more than 27 specialized sessions and workshops, as well as about 5 workshops related to some skills that engineers need in practical reality.
Engineer Fahd stressed that the Summer Center contributes to harnessing the students' energies and refining their talents, and is their starting point for achieving success and serving their community.
