Acting on the directives of His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University to provide an attractive educational environment and harness all the capabilities to facilitate the educational process, the General Department of Educational Services, in cooperation with various internal sectors, has concluded the renewal and completion process of all classroom needs and requirements for chairs in the University Headquarters in Al-Abdiyyah for the following buildings (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, Q5, Q6, A, B, C, D). The project aims to provide more than 7,000 new chairs for the students which meet the standard specifications that are specifically designed to provide student comfort and are marked by high quality and durability.

The project is still ongoing, following a strategic plan until the General Department of Educational Services meets all the needs of modern educational means in all the colleges at all the UQU branches.

Since its inception, the Department of Educational Services has striven to raise the benchmarks for selecting educational aids, conducting tests on the samples under different and high tolerance conditions, and applying a new methodology to ensure the participation of the male and female students in the choices that enrich their educational journey.

On his part, His Excellency Dr. Khalid Al-Mutairi, the Deputy General Supervisor of the Department of Educational Services, pointed out that the real challenges facing the service sectors are keeping pace with modern technologies and the rapid development of science and knowledge, and also achieving high levels of beneficiary satisfaction. This urges the UQU to develop flexible plans and rely on short implementation stages. Moreover, this encourages the university to focus on their oversight roles, employ continuous measurement procedures to follow up on the implementation of the strategic plan, apply continuous periodic improvements, and respond to all changes quickly and effectively.
