Under the supervision of the Qur’anic Guidance Chair, one of the academic chairs of the UQU Deanship of Scientific Research, the first remote defense of a PhD thesis within the project of the "World Encyclopedia of Qur'anic Guidance" will be held in academic collaboration with the University of Islamic Sciences in Sudan. The "World Encyclopedia of Qur'anic Guidance" includes 60 PhD thesis in the fields of tafsir (interpretation) and Qur'anic studies, with the participation of 28 universities from around the world.

The student's defense will be held on Sunday, 7 Dhul-Qi`dah, 1441 A.H., corresponding to 28 June, 2020 A.C., at 11:00 a.m., with the thesis entitled, "The Qur’anic Guidance in Surat Al-`Imran (from Verse 15 to 92): An Applied Study".
